Technical Assistance

The Southwest TAAC helps secure consulting services tailored to the individual company’s needs.  The program may pay up to 50 percent of the cost of technical assistance (up to 75% for some smaller firms).

While the Southwest TAAC provides no direct financial assistance (i.e., loans or grants) to the firm, the diagnostic analysis and adjustment plan have been used successfully to secure financing through commercial lending institutions and government agencies such as SBA.

Testimonials

"When several of our long time, domestic distributors were recruited to sell low cost laser engraving systems produced in Taiwan, the SWTAAC helped us develop a plan and acquire a matching grant to respond. The plan and grant helped us improve our marketing efforts and operating efficiencies, and we were able to move from sales declines to sales increases and profitability. I don't know if we would be in business today if it were not for their efforts."

"We recently received...assistance through (the) SWTAAC/UTSA with our marketing efforts. They were highly professional and got through the process very quickly. They have assisted us in the details of how to best make it work for us. If you have a chance to do so, take it. An overall marketing plan has been developed for us, which will lay the groundwork for several years."
